Pastoral
Ministries
The
expression of Christian caring for one another and for those
in the world around us is an important part of the life
of Trinity Church. We nurture and support others, and are
ourselves nurtured and supported as we share of ourselves.
Prayer
Shawl Ministry: With every stitch in a prayer shawl,
a prayer is offered to God … and as the person to
whom the shawl is given wears it, he or she is wrapped in
love and all those prayers. Knitters (and those who crochet)
gather occasionally to work and pray together, but often
pray and work at home. Members of the Prayer Shawl Ministry
are also knitting blankets and shawls to be given to each
person baptized in the parish. For information on this ministry,
contact Marilyn Burnett (978-887-8689) or the parish office.
Intercessory
Prayer Group: On Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. a group
gathers in the parish library to offer prayer for those
in need. Prayers are offered for those who have requested
the public prayer of the congregation and also for those
who have made confidential requests. Prayer Request Cards
and a locked box in which to place them are located on the
table just inside the main doors into the church. Prayers
(public or confidential) can also be requested by contacting
the parish office (trinity.episcopalchurch@verizon.net).
BeFrienders:
The BeFriender Ministry is a national, ecumenical organization
that provides training and program support for a listening
ministry of lay pastoral care. A BeFriender listens with
compassion, accepts people as they are, respects another’s
spiritual journey, and embodies the caring presence of God.
For further information or to request a BeFriender, contact
the parish office (trinity.episcopalchurch@verizon.net).
